4月9日・10日の2日間、中高等部の生徒たちは毎年恒例のイニシエーションキャンプに参加しました。
新しく加わったG7（中学1年生）の生徒を歓迎し、新年度を前向きで活気ある形でスタートするため、チームビルディング活動に取り組みました。
今年は、国立淡路青少年交流の家を訪れ、これまでとは一味違った雰囲気のキャンプとなりました。
海に近いロケーションは素晴らしい景観を提供してくれ、あいにくの天候にもかかわらず、生徒たちはこの環境を大いに楽しんでいました。
3年目を迎えたこのイニシエーションキャンプは、新しい中高等部コミュニティのメンバーを迎えるだけでなく、G11・G12（高校2年生・3年生）の生徒たちにとってはリーダーシップやマネジメントスキルを発揮する貴重な機会でもあります。
彼らは、キャンプ全体の企画・運営・進行を担い、優れたコミュニケーション能力や後輩の安全と成長に責任を持つ姿勢を示しました。
その姿は、関西国際学園の価値観を体現し、常に成熟した誠実な行動として表れていました。
全体として、このキャンプは素晴らしい経験となり、多くの思い出を生み出しました。
来年のキャンプも今から楽しみです。
On April 9th and 10th, the KIA Secondary students embarked upon their annual Initiation Camp. Over two days, our students engaged in team building activities, in order to welcome the new G7s and usher in the new school year in a positive and exciting way.
This year, we had the pleasure of visiting National Awaji Youth Friendship Centre, giving the camp a very different feel to the previous years. The close proximity to the beach provided a wonderful backdrop to the camp, and despite the inclement weather, the students enjoyed the camp location immensely.
Now in its third year, the Initiation Camp not only welcomes our new secondary community members, but also provides our G11 and G12 students with a chance to demonstrate their leadership and management skills. They organise, plan and direct the entire camp, showcasing their growing capacity for strong communication and the ability to take responsibility for the wellbeing of their juniors. They truly showed the values of KIA and acted with maturity and integrity at all times.
Overall, the camp was a great experience, providing wonderful memories. We eagerly anticipate next year’s camp.
