中高等部G7～G10の生徒たちは、「人と防災未来センター」と「シスメックス神戸アイスキャンパス」を訪れ、校外学習を行いました。
午前は、人と防災未来センターで阪神・淡路大震災の記録や復興の歩みについて学びました。展示を見学しながら、災害の歴史を知るだけでなく、「もし自分がその場にいたらどう行動するだろう」と考え、防災を自分自身のこととして捉える貴重な機会となりました。
昼食後には、グループごとに見学を通して学んだことや印象に残ったことを話し合い、プレゼンテーションを行いました。それぞれの気づきや考えを共有することで、新たな視点に触れ、学びをさらに深める時間となりました。
午後は、昨年開業したシスメックス神戸アイスキャンパスでアイススケートを体験しました。神戸唯一の通年型アイススケートリンクであるこの施設は、国際規格のリンクを備え、トップアスリートの育成から地域のスポーツ振興までを担う、神戸を代表する新しいスポーツ施設です。
初めてスケートに挑戦する生徒も多く、何度も転びながらも、仲間同士で声を掛け合い、励まし合いながら挑戦を続けました。最後には、笑顔でリンクを滑る姿があちこちで見られ、一人ひとりが達成感を味わっている様子が印象的でした。
防災について学び、自分の考えを伝え合い、新しいことに挑戦する。そんな一日を通して、生徒たちは教室では得られない多くの学びや気づきを得ることができました。これからも本物の体験を大切にし、一人ひとりの視野を広げ、成長につながる学びの機会を提供していきます。
Our Grade 7–10 students took part in a field trip to the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution and the Sysmex Kobe Ice Campus.
The day began with a visit to the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution, where students learned about the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and the city’s recovery. Through the exhibits, they reflected not only on the events of the disaster but also on what they would do to protect themselves and others in a similar situation. It was a valuable opportunity to think about disaster preparedness as something that affects each of us personally.
After lunch, students worked in groups to discuss what they had learned and the ideas that had left the strongest impression on them. They then shared their reflections through short presentations, learning from one another’s different perspectives and deepening their understanding together.
In the afternoon, students headed to the Sysmex Kobe Ice Campus for an ice-skating experience. Opened last year, the facility is Kobe’s only year-round ice rink and features an international-standard skating rink used by both competitive athletes and the local community.
For many students, it was their first time on the ice. There were plenty of slips and falls, but even more laughter, encouragement, and determination. Students supported one another, kept trying, and by the end of the session many were gliding confidently across the rink with big smiles on their faces.
The day combined learning, reflection, teamwork, and the excitement of trying something new. Experiences like these help students build knowledge, confidence, and resilience in ways that simply can’t be replicated in the classroom. We look forward to continuing to provide opportunities that inspire curiosity, broaden perspectives, and support the growth of every student.
