関西国際学園中高等部の生徒たちが、NPO法人「せいぼじゃぱん」様との協働により実施した、アフリカ・マラウイへの国際支援プロジェクト。 この度、その主体的な取り組みと成果がせいぼじゃぱん様の公式Webサイトにて詳しく紹介されました！
企画から実践、そして寄付者の皆様へのアフターケアまで、一貫して生徒たちが自分たちの手で成し遂げた実りのある活動となりました。
NPO法人「せいぼじゃぱん」とは？
NPO法人「せいぼじゃぱん」は、アフリカ・マラウイで学校給食支援を行う国際NGO団体です。 教育の機会につながる給食支援を通して、子どもたちが貧困のサイクルから抜け出し、新しい未来を拓くための基盤づくりをされています。また、日本国内においてもイベントや企業・学校との協働を通じて、若い世代や社会全体に新しいチャリティ文化とグローバルな視点を広げる活動を展開されています。5人の生徒で結成されたチームは、毎週のミーティングの企画・運営から各自の得意分野を活かした役割分担までをすべて自分たちで手掛け、終始主体的に活動を推し進めました。活動においては、マラウイ産のコーヒーやチョコレートを活用しながら、校内でのスライド発表やSNSを通じた情報発信を展開。5月末に行われた発表会では、幼稚部から中等部までの生徒や保護者の皆様へ向けて、マラウイの現状と支援の意義を熱く訴えかけました。
こうした学園全体を巻き込む熱心な啓発とファンドレイジング活動の結果、多くの方々から温かい賛同と応援が寄せられ、最終的に約13万円の寄付金を「せいぼじゃぱん」様を通じて現地へと届けることができました。
Kansai International Academy Secondary School students are currently working on a project in tandem with NPO Seibo Japan to support Malawi, which is a country in Africa. Their project has been featured on Seibo Japan’s official website.
The students had valuable experiences through their project, from planning to execution to following up with donors.
What is NPO Seibo Japan?
NPO Seibo Japan is an international NPO that provides lunches for Malawi schools. The organization helps children escape the cycle of poverty and build a foundation for a new path forward. The NPO also provides the younger generation in Japan with opportunities to take on new challenges and think globally through events with companies and schools.
Seibo Japan KIA started with a group of students who were passionate about identifying and solving a social issue.
The team of five students are taking initiatives by holding meetings and managing tasks according to their strengths. They are raising awareness with slide presentations and social media with Malawian coffee and chocolate. In May, they gave a presentation to the parents and guardians about the situation in Malawi and why it is important to support their cause.
We raised and donated 130,000 yen to Malawi through Seibo Japan by getting the entire school involved and raising awareness.
