演劇教育の一環として、中高等部G7-G10（中学1年生〜高校1年生）の生徒たちが、大阪四季劇場にて劇団四季『ノートルダムの鐘』を鑑賞しました。
「怪物か人間か。私たちは何者？」と問いかける『ノートルダムの鐘』は、誰しもが心の中に抱えている光と闇を描いた作品です。「宿命にどう向き合うのか」「いかにして他者を認め合うのか」という作品に込められたメッセージを受け、生徒たちも考えを深めていました。
キャストの皆様の圧巻の演技や歌唱、細部までこだわり抜かれた舞台美術。演劇の魅力を堪能する時間になりました。
中高等部では、11月にスクールプロダクション（演劇公演）を控えています。本物の表現に触れたことで、舞台を創り上げる素晴らしさを再確認することができ、生徒たちの創作意欲も一段と高まりました。
As part of our MYP Arts program, our G7–10 students visited the Osaka Shiki Theatre to see The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Through its powerful question “What makes a monster, and what makes a man?”, the story invited our students to reflect on themes such as courage, understanding, diversity and acceptance.
From the cast’s powerful performances and singing to the incredibly detailed set design, the students had a wonderful opportunity to experience the impact and beauty of a professional theatre.
This experience was especially meaningful as our students are now preparing for their own School Production in November. Seeing a professional production on stage gave them fresh inspiration and reminded them of the excitement of creating a performance together.
