5月15日（金）、Grade 5（小学5年生）の児童たちは、主体的で責任感のある生涯学習者として成長することを目的に、中高等部の図書室を訪れました。今回の訪問では、図書室にあるさまざまな資料に触れながら、探究型学習を通してリサーチスキルを深めました。
現在取り組んでいるUnit of Inquiryの一環として、児童たちは世界各国の政治制度について調べるとともに、日本国憲法に関する興味深い事実についても学びました。今回の活動は、学術的な環境の中で主体的に調査・探究を行い、理解をさらに深める貴重な機会となりました。
児童たちは今回の体験を大いに楽しみました。今学期の残りの期間も、各Unit of Inquiryごとに2回ずつ中高等部図書室を訪れることを楽しみにしています。
On Friday, 15 May, Grade 5 students visited the Secondary School library as part of their ongoing development as independent, responsible, and lifelong learners. During the visit, students explored the wide range of resources available in the library and strengthened their research skills through inquiry-based learning.
As part of their current Unit of Inquiry, students investigated different systems of government from around the world and discovered interesting facts about the Japanese Constitution. The session provided an excellent opportunity for students to deepen their understanding through independent research in an engaging academic environment.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to returning to the library twice during each Unit of Inquiry for the remainder of the term.
