MUN(模擬国連)クラブの活動の一環として、週末に東京で開催された”Global Indian International School MUN Conference”に、関西国際学園中高等部の生徒3名が参加しました。日本国内外から200名を超える生徒が集まるこの大会への参加は、本校として3回目となります。
生徒たちは2日間にわたり、ユニセフ（UNICEF）を扱う日本語での会議で、「子どもたちの教育を受ける権利の保障」と「デジタル環境における子どもの保護」をテーマに議論を行いました。各自が担当国の代表として意見を述べ、活発な討論を通して、世界が直面する課題への解決策を考えました。
3名全員が堂々とした姿勢で会議に臨み、本校の代表として素晴らしい活躍を見せてくれました。さらに、1名がHonorable Mention（優秀賞）、もう1名が委員会のBest Delegate（最優秀代表）を受賞するという快挙を達成しました！
生徒たちの日頃の努力と挑戦する姿勢を大変誇りに思います。今後のMUNでのさらなる活躍にもぜひご期待ください！
In association with our school’s ongoing MUN club, three students from KIA Secondary took part in the annual Global Indian International School MUN Conference in Tokyo over the weekend. This is the third time our school has attended the conference, which attracts more than 200 students from within and outside of Japan.
Over two days, our students took part in the Japanese language committee, which was tied to UNICEF, and explored the topic of safeguarding children’s access to education and digital protection. Representing a focus country, the students engaged in meaningful debate, defended their positions, and developed viable solutions to this global issue.
All three students conducted themselves with excellence and maturity and have made the KIA community proud. Of particular note is that one student received an ‘Honorable mention’ award and another was awarded ‘Best Delegate’ for their committee. This is a wonderful achievement and testament to their hard work and dedication.
