PYPエキシビション（PYPx）に向けて、今年も メンターミーティングが始まりました。
本校では、子どもたちの探究をより深く、主体的に進めるために「メンター制度」を取り入れています。Mentorの先生は、主にG6（小学6年生）以外の先生方が担当し、担任とは異なる視点で子どもたちの学びを見守ります。アイデアの広げ方、調べ方、行動につなぐ方法などをサポートします。
今日の初回ミーティングでは、子どもたちが自分の“Passion（情熱）”と“社会のIssue（課題）”をどう結びつけるかについて、熱心に話し合う姿が見られました。
言葉にしながら考え、新しい発見に目を輝かせたり、立ち止まって整理したりする子どもたち。その隣で、静かに問いを投げかけて考えるきっかけをつくるMentorの先生方が寄り添います。
これから数ヶ月、子どもたちの探究はさらに深まり、世界とのつながりを実感しながら「自分にできるアクション」へと向かっていきます。
この先どんな学びの旅が広がっていくのか、私たちもとても楽しみにしています。
The Mentor Meetings for our PYP Exhibition (PYPx) have started again this year.
At our school, we use a Mentor system to help students explore more deeply and take more ownership of their learning. Mentors are mainly teachers from other grades, and they support students from a different point of view. They help students grow their ideas, research effectively, and plan their actions.
In today’s first meeting, students talked about how to connect their Passion with a social Issue they care about.
Some students were excited with new discoveries, while others took time to think and organize their ideas. Beside them, Mentors asked gentle questions to help them think even further.
Over the next few months, their inquiries will continue to deepen. Students will learn more about the world and move toward taking meaningful action.
We are very excited to see where their learning journey will take them.
