今年のサイエンスエキシビジョンのテーマは、「より安全な未来のための科学ー災害への備えー」でした。
本エキシビジョンは、生徒の独創性と高い学術的探究力を存分に発揮する貴重な機会となりました。また、自然災害や防災といった現実社会の課題に対して、科学的な探究がいかに重要であるかを改めて示す内容となりました。
MYP科学のユニット4として位置づけられている「サイエンスエキビジョン」は、MYP科学の評価基準に基づき、生徒の学習到達度を総合的に評価する機会です。生徒たちは、高度なリサーチ能力や分析スキルの育成を目的とし、厳密な科学的探究のプロセスに主体的に取り組みました。
自らの発見をグローバルな重要課題と結びつけることで、若き研究者たちは科学的な習熟度を示すだけでなく、情報に基づいて主体的に解決策を提案できるコミュニティの一員としての準備が整っていることを証明しました。
このプロセスを通して培われたスキルは、将来の学びや学術的探究において、揺るぎない基盤となるでしょう。
This year’s Science Exhibition theme was “Science for Safer Futures: Disaster Readiness,” which served as a significant showcase of students’ ingenuity and academic prowess. The event highlighted the indispensable role of scientific inquiry in addressing real-world challenges related to natural hazards and global preparedness.
As Unit 4 in the MYP Science program, the Science Exhibition provides a comprehensive assessment of student achievement across the MYP Science criteria. The students engage in a rigorous process of scientific inquiry, which involves the development of advanced research and analytical skills.
By linking their findings to critical global challenges, these young researchers demonstrated not only scientific proficiency, but also a readiness to become informed, solution-oriented citizens. The skills honed during this process will serve as a foundational asset as students progress into higher grades and future academic endeavors.
