初等部入学を決めた理由を教えてください。What were your reasons for entering the elementary school?
乳幼児部、幼稚園部と子どもたちがのびのびと心身ともに健やかに過ごさせていただきましたので、引き続き同じ環境で学ばせたいと思いました。
My children enjoyed their time at ELC & K both physically and mentally so we wanted them to continue learning in the same environment.
中高等部進学を決めた理由を教えてください。What were your reasons for entering the secondary school?
自分の考えをしっかり持ち発言でき、そしてまた常に他者を認め、いたわれる優しい子どもたちに育ってくれたのは関西国際学園の教育理念のもとで過ごさせていただいたからだと思っています。探究学習により身につける思考力や行動力が子どもたちの将来において非常に大事になってくると確信し、日々進化する関西国際学園のチャレンジあふれる環境のもとで引き続き学ばせていただきたいと思いました。
They can develop their own opinions that they can express and they always are kind and considerate towards each other because of the education they received at Kansai International Academy. We were sure that the ability to think and act that they learned through inquiry learning would be important for their future so we wanted to continue to place them in a school that constantly challenges itself to evolve.
関西国際学園のカリキュラムの中で特に魅力的だと思われるものは？What curriculum is particularly attractive at KIA?
やはりUOI（探究学習）です。教科の枠を超え色んな方向に知識が広がっていき、深く深く考えることが身につきます。学んでいるテーマを共有することで、保護者も考える機会を得られて一緒に楽しめます。
It would definitely be UOI. The students’ knowledge expands beyond each subject and they learn to think deeper and deeper. By sharing the themes they are learning, the parents are also given an opportunity to learn, which is fun.
お子さんがKIAっ子だなと実感したエピソードがあれば教えてください。Please share an episode that made you realize your child is a KIA student.
違う世界も知ってもらいたいと思い進学塾の体験に参加したところ、帰宅後「グループワークはないの？」と聞かれました。
We sent them to a trial lesson at a cram school because we wanted to expose them to a wider world but when they came home they asked “There’s no group work?”

- Due to the small number of students, it is reassuring that the students and teachers are close
- They are many interactions between students from different grades
- There are many classes and events where the students have agency

子どもたちが自分の能力を最大限発揮できる場所、保護者も一緒に成長できる場所
It is a place where the student’s best abilities are brought out and where the parents can grow as well.
