I was a student of Kansai International School. There are many great memories I have from KIS. For example, all the teachers are all very kind and funny. Some teachers tell jokes so many times that there was almost no class in which my classmates and I did not laugh. Also, there are many fun events at KIS. During the KIS festival, we can eat, drink, and play games. At this year’s KIS festival, four famous comedians came and performed―I had a great day.

On Sports’ Day, teachers thought of many fun games for my classmates and I to play. I had trouble deciding which game I liked best. We have tug of war, a relay race, and an obstacle course as well as many other games. During Winter Celebration, all the classes from the kindergartners to the sixth grade class will sing songs, dance, or act in a play. Winter Celebration is one of the biggest events at KIS.

I am still proud that I went to KIS. I started studying English when I was little. I was speaking English as long as I can remember. Also, while studying at KIS, I got really good at English and I got into the second highest English class in my middle school. I think when a person wants to study and get good at using English, that person should learn the language when he or she is still little. A friend I made in middle school, who cannot speak English, is always saying, “English is very hard!”

I learned English when I was so little that I do not have a time when I think English is too difficult. Also, I practiced how to do a presentation in front of people at KIS too. Now, at middle school, I am not scared to stand in front of people and present my ideas.  These are the reasons a person should learn English when he or she is little and the best place to learn English is Kansai International School. 関西インターナショナルスクール小学部を今年の3月に卒業しました。ＫＩＳでの学校生活では、たくさんの良い思い出があります。たとえば、先生たちはとても優しく面白くて、よく冗談を言って、常に笑いの絶えない授業でした。また、ＫＩＳでは、いろいろなイベントがあります。先日は、ＫＩＳフェスティバルがあり、皆で食べたり飲んだりしながら、ゲームを楽しみました。今年のＫＩＳフェスティバルでは、吉本から漫才師の方々が来て、楽しませてくれました。

スポーツデーでは、先生たちが楽しい競技を考えてくれますが、楽しい競技がありすぎて、どれが一番面白かったかと聞かれても、ひとつ選ぶのが難しいくらいです。スポーツデーでは、綱引き、リレー、障害物競走などもありました。また、12月のウィンターセレブレーションでは、小さい子どものクラス、幼稚園部の後輩たちと一緒に、歌を歌ったり、踊ったり、また、劇を上演します。ウィンターセレブレーションは、ＫＩＳでも、一番盛り上がるイベントです。

僕は、KISの卒業生であることを、誇りに思います。僕は、小さいころから英語を勉強してきたので、いつごろから英語を話し始めたか、はっきりとした記憶がないほどです。また、KISでしっかりと英語を勉強したので、中学校の英語のクラスでは、レベルの高いクラスに入ることができました。もし、英語が上手くなりたければ、絶対に小さいころから英語を習うべきだと思います。中学校の友達は、初めて学ぶ英語に悪戦苦闘していて、「英語は難しい！」と言っています。

僕は、小さいころから英語を学んできたので、英語が難しいと感じたことは、ほとんどなく、楽しく学んでいます。また、小学部では、多くの人の前で、プレゼンテーションをする練習を何度もしました。今通っている中学校の授業でも、プレゼンテーションをすることがありますが、僕は、緊張はするものの、はっきり自分の意見を発表することができます。もし、英語を学びたいなら、小さいころから関西インターナショナルスクールに通うのが一番だと思います。

I was one of the first pupils to attend Kansai International School. I went there for six years and I had a really good time. I got in a lot of trouble but the teachers at KIS supported me, helped me grow, and eventually I was able to graduate. My time at KIS has given me lots of fond memories.

One of the best memories I have about KIS is Sports’ Day.  I loved Sports’ Day so much and I just couldn’t wait for the event each year. The best Sports’ Day was the last one I attended. I was the captain of a team. My team practiced a lot we just wanted to win and have fun. When we started we had some small matches against the opposing team. When we had lunch we were so tired–the day was one tense match. The opposing team was beating us by small point margin We didn’t want to lose. In af

ternoon we had a relay in which my whole team participated. This was a biggest match of the day. When the baton came to me we my team already losing. I didn’t want to lose. I ran as fast as I can but I lost. I still remember crying in the middle of the field. However, at the end of the day I remembered how much fun I had trying my best with my team. We had fun even though we lost. This is why Sports’ Day is one of my favorite memories.

I loved hiking trip with Mr.G. This was the best field trip I went on. We went to Nara to go to hiking on a mountain. Whole fifth and sixth grade class went to this trip. There were only six people among these two classes which made the field trip even more fun. We went to Nara by subway. The trip took about an hour but I enjoyed the trip while we were in the train. After we got off the train   we went to Nara Park and we played with the deer. They chased us and we ran away from them. It was a

simple game but it was really fun.  When we started hiking up the mountain and we were amazed by the amount of animals that lived there. There were deer, beetles, crabs, and some leech like creature. Everyone got scared of that leech like creature because it was crawling up our legs. I remember reading a book with my class on our way up the mountain. We found a nice bench and a table right next to a river.  This experience was relaxing. The best part was the lunch. We had lunch on top of the mo

untain. We also found a mysterious path in the forest. We went on the path a little bit but we got really scared. I remember rolling down the slope of one of the hills as well. We had a nice time there and it will always be a fond memory of mine.

KIS festival in Ashiya campus was so nice. That day it was so sunny. The weather made it the best day to have a KIS festival. There were a lot of food. For lunch I had a curry. The flavor and portion size was really nice. After lunch my day was mainly playing games. In games I did bowling, bouncy ball fishing, and ring throwing. I was addicted to the bouncy ball fishing game. I remember doing it thousands of times. When I’m doing that I didn’t realize it was starting to rain. I thought the da

y was ruined but it was not at all. In the rain I danced with my friends to nice music. It was just a light rain which made it enjoyable. The rain stopped really quickly. My clothes got really wet and my hair as well. I had to go home after the rain.

I really enjoyed being part of KIS. I made friends there who I still talk to even to this day. KIS gave me an opportunity to learn English. I always regretted that I should have tried my best in KIS. Now I am in England it was hard to getting use to life in the United Kingdom . I am so happy that I went to KIS when I was young.
