Kansai International Academy is seeking qualified and experienced teachers to join our team. We offer bilingual education to children living in Japan. All applicants should hold a working visa and be currently residing in Japan or have concrete plans to relocate to Japan in the near future. A tertiary degree and previous experience teaching young children or teaching English in Japan is mandatory. Teachers should also be energetic and creative educators who love to interact with and care for children. An Early Learning or Kindergarten/Elementary teaching qualification is strongly preferred.

International School Osaka employment

Full time position-
Monday to Friday, 8:00-6:00 (8 hour shift within the school opening hours including 1 hour lunch break)

・Full time teaching duties
・Assessment of student progress
・Fundamental care and supervision of students
・Continuation of curriculum revision and development
・Ability to apply curriculum principles in practice and to plan effective lessons
・Ability and experience teaching students for whom English is not their first language

We have an established and successful curriculum and a strong support network for our teachers. The positions involves teaching and caring for a class of up to 20 students aged between 1 and 12 (depending on grade and department), with support from an experienced Japanese classroom assistant.

Travel expenses are paid up to a maximum of 25,000 yen per month and private health insurance is provided in addition to salary.

Vacations are comprised of 32 school holidays, 5 personal and sick days, and all National Holidays.

Early Learning Center (ELC) Ages 1-3
At ELC we help children develop their gross motor skills, fine motor skills, creativity, mathematical understanding, spatial awareness, reading and spelling skills, and all other aspects of child development. Applicants must have experience caring for young children. A qualification in early childhood care is strongly preferred.
Kindergarten (K) Ages 3-6
At K we focus on the various aspects of the children’s development, such as linguistic development, mathematical development, knowledge and understanding of the world, and creative development. Applicants must have experience teaching young children or teaching English in Japan. A degree or graduate diploma in education is strongly preferred.
Elementary (G) Ages 6-12
At G we teach children all the school subjects in English much in the same way as schools in native English speaking countries. Applicants must have abundant experience in teaching overseas or in Japan, and a degree or graduate diploma in education is mandatory.
